Me?
I became Vice President of the school Apple Computer Club.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen. I was practically a technology executive.
We had computers. We had enthusiasm. We had ideas about what those computers might do someday.
And we had titles.
I don't remember whether the position came with any actual privileges. There certainly wasn't a corporate jet, a company car, or stock options.
I suspect my executive compensation consisted primarily of access to computers and the satisfaction of knowing what a floppy disk was.
But it was an exciting time. Computers still felt like something special, something that a small group of curious kids could explore together.
We were learning, experimenting, and discovering a world that most adults hadn't quite figured out yet.
Vice President. At school. Before I could even drive.
My career clearly peaked early. 😂💾
