The Pickle Jar Palace

After a successful Costco run, one giant pickle jar found a second life in the apartment. Miss Devin saved containers whenever she could, and Lord Nibbler immediately understood the assignment. While everyone searched high and low for the missing kittens, Mr. Nibbles was discovered curled up inside the giant glass jar, fast asleep in the sun like a tiny striped prince in his own personal greenhouse.

Rainy Day Pigeon Hotel

The litter box moved to the balcony, with a little route in and out so the kittens could use it privately. On rainy days, pigeons sometimes tucked themselves into the covered box for shelter from the storm. From the warm side of the glass, Lord Nibbler would chatter at the visitors, while Princess Penelope watched with wide, curious eyes. It was adorable — right up until one memorable day when the little hotel gained a far more exciting reputation.

The RCA Kitty Condo

An old RCA console television from the 1970s or early 1980s was stripped of its electronics and transformed into a cozy cat house. To the kittens, it was a palace. To the humans, it was a wonderful reuse of an old treasure. And to Mr. Cuddles, the senior lady of the house, it was further proof that the household had lost all sense of proportion and had become much too accommodating to small fluffy newcomers.

Mr. Cuddles Files a Complaint

Mr. Cuddles came as part of John’s package deal, and she was not initially impressed by all the changes in her kingdom. Miss Devin had moved in, friends Frank and Alley were gone, and suddenly the apartment was full of kittens, toys, hiding spots, and miniature construction projects. For a while, she made her opinions unmistakably clear. In time, though, even Mr. Cuddles adapted to the growing little family.
