Haunted? Check. On fire? Check. Three bedrooms? Apparently. Somebody might want to amend the listing.
There are some properties that need a little work. A coat of paint. A new furnace. Maybe a priest.
Then there's the three-bedroom ranch where the ghosts are waving through the windows and the roof has apparently decided to become a bonfire.
The real-estate listing probably called it 'full of character' and 'wonderfully warm.' The inspector called it a day and went home.
As for the fellow standing on the sidewalk with a gas can and a box of matches? That's the sort of detail we leave to the cartoonist. This is a dark little joke, not a claim about how any real fire started.
Some houses are fixer-uppers. This one's a fixer-upper, an exorcism, and a call to the fire department.
